Carson Pforsich, one of the hosts of the annual Pforsich Pfall Pfundraising Pfestivities event, is a 5th-generation Sebastopol resident with strong ties to the community and those within it. He suffered a spinal cord injury in the fall of his senior year of high school in 2017 during a swimming accident, rendering him paralyzed from the chest down. After his accident, the community immediately came together to support him and his family while also creating an impressive financial fund for his recovery. It helped him tremendously as it allowed him to seek treatments internationally, continue a substantial physical therapy regimen, make needed accessibility modifications to his home, and purchase medical equipment. In 2023, he and his partner, Desi D’Ancona, created the fundraiser event as a way to raise additional funds toward a much-needed new accessible vehicle. Together, Carson’s family, friends, and supportive community raised enough funds to purchase an accessible 2017 Honda Pilot. This new vehicle allows him to safely transport to work, physical therapy, training sessions, doctor’s appointments, and daily activities.
They chose to continue hosting the fundraiser each year on a mission to provide other individuals and families experiencing difficult medical endeavors with the necessary funds needed for their challenging and expensive journeys. We greatly appreciate any and all contributions to this important cause. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations made are tax-deductible.
